He loves Flamebringer so much. His silly tail wags and the way he likes to be close to Ezell. The affection he gives and the protectiveness he naturally has. How cute he is, even now, when he's totally sloshed.
But Ezell does not fit within Flamebringer's wants and dreams for the future. How can he be? He doesn't like to spar or do anything violent. The dream Flamebringer had should be clear for that much. Ezell wants to settle down someday, adopt kids, have a home, maybe even have a calmer job, like a teacher... he'd really like that. But surely something like that doesn't match up with anything Flamebringer would want? And why should he. It's boring, like basically all of what Ezell has to offer.
